Active Tensile Structures

Our studio has developed a unique artisanal practice called “Active Tensile Structures”: an approach that harnesses the tension of textiles to generate lightweight, sculptural and organic forms.

Working at the intersection of technology and craftsmanship, we have developed a deep expertise in 3D printing directly onto textiles, combined with a broad knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes applied to fashion and design. This hybrid approach allows us to create complex structures that are both technically innovative and visually expressive.

By bridging industrial fabrication and textile craftsmanship, our practice opens new possibilities for a wide range of applications; from wearable designs and textile embroideries, to contemporary art projects, window installations, and site-specific commissions for brands and institutions.

Our workshop, based in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, is equipped custom-built production systems and a range of tools specifically adapted to our process, allowing us to produce sculptural textile structures at various scales. We collaborate with brands, cultural institutions and creative partners to develop bespoke projects that combine technical innovation with a distinctive artistic language.
